Water Filling Machine Maintenance Plan: Handover Checklist

Request a preventive-maintenance plan for the machine actually supplied. It should connect tasks and intervals to component instructions, operating conditions and records. A generic daily/weekly checklist cannot replace model-specific maintenance and safe isolation procedures.

01

Build the asset and task register

Identify assemblies such as bottle handling, rinsing, filling, capping, conveying and control equipment within the purchase scope. Ask the supplier to state inspection tasks, responsible roles and the evidence that a task was completed.

  • Machine and assembly identifiers
  • Task instruction and manual reference
  • Required parts, tools and competence
02

Require the basis for each interval

Ask whether a task is driven by operating hours, cycles, calendar time or observed condition, and how site conditions affect the recommendation. Use the supplier's approved instructions; this page does not prescribe universal lubrication or replacement intervals.

  • Interval and trigger
  • Operating assumptions and exclusions
  • Escalation when abnormal condition is found
03

Link service tasks to spare parts

Match consumables and planned replacements to part numbers, approved alternatives and stock arrangements. Specify which tasks require supplier support and what information should accompany a service request.

  • Critical spares and consumables
  • Storage/handling instructions
  • Service contact and diagnostic input list
04

Verify maintainability at handover

Have qualified personnel review access and demonstrate agreed routine tasks under the manufacturer's procedure. Retain training records, maintenance forms and a process for updating instructions when components or formats change.

  • Delivered maintenance manual revision
  • Completed training and open questions
  • First service review and record owner

Questions and answers

Can I use one maintenance schedule for every filler?

No. Base tasks and intervals on the supplied equipment, component instructions, operating duty and site conditions.

Does preventive maintenance guarantee no downtime?

No. It is one part of reliability management. Spares, fault diagnosis, operating conditions and support responsibilities also matter.

What should be agreed before shipment?

The maintenance instructions, part register, training scope, special tools, service responsibility and any unresolved documentation items.
