Choose a Water Filling Machine by Bottle and Supply Scope

For still water in PET bottles, start with a rinsing-filling-capping proposal. For heavier large bottles, compare the handling and cycle of a dedicated large-format platform. Glass requires its own bottle and closure review. The table below is a shortlist guide, not a claim that these routes are interchangeable.

01

Choose by the package that actually enters the machine

Nominal volume does not describe a handling system. A lightweight PET bottle, a handled large container and a glass bottle impose different grip, transfer and support requirements. Use the main production bottle to anchor the enquiry and list every additional format separately.

  • Send a bottle drawing, neck finish and empty-bottle weight.
  • Identify the cap type and provide samples when available.
  • Flag shaped bottles, handles and planned changes of format.
02

Separate a machine from the equipment around it

A rinsing-filling-capping monoblock performs three operations, but its quotation may not include a cap elevator, bottle infeed, product-water tank/pump or discharge conveyors. A filling-center proposal should name these modules and where its responsibility ends.

  • Existing compatible interfaces: consider a bounded machine replacement.
  • Missing bottle/cap/outfeed interfaces: request a defined filling-center scope.
  • Treatment, blowing and packing required: list them as a separate package discussion.
03

Compare the conditions behind output

A station count is not an acceptance result. Ask each bidder to state the reference container, required supply conditions and how acceptable filled and closed bottles will be counted. Do not transfer a catalog rating for one bottle to a larger bottle without evidence.

  • State required good BPH or a daily plan with operating assumptions.
  • Keep the same format, run duration and reject definition across offers.
04

Request a shortlist with reasons and exclusions

A useful supplier response explains why a configuration suits the submitted package, which formats need change parts and what is still unconfirmed. Ask for a layout, utility connection list and scope schedule alongside the recommendation. Keep unreviewed bottles outside the approved format list.

  • Container acceptance and deviations
  • Machine and interface boundary
  • Trial evidence and unresolved questions

Questions and answers

Can one filler cover both small PET and large handled bottles?

Do not infer this from overlapping volume descriptions. Have the supplier review neck handling, spacing, height, full-bottle mass and closure access for every format; separate platforms may be required.

Does purified versus mineral water automatically determine a different machine?

The catalog describes both within its still-water reference. Supply the actual product condition and required hygienic process; the product name alone does not establish materials, cleaning requirements or suitability.

Is labeling included in a 3-in-1 machine?

The three named operations are rinsing, filling and capping. Labeling, coding, wrapping and case packing must be listed separately in the proposed supply scope.
