Prepare the site
Use the approved layout and utility schedule.
- Floor, access and maintenance clearance
- Electrical supply and grounding
- Water, air, drain and lighting
- Rigging route and unloading equipment
Site-readiness and responsibility
Installation is a responsibility handover, not an engineer-arrival date. Make the site, materials, interfaces, people and completion evidence ready before travel or rigging begins.
Use the approved layout and utility schedule.
The surrounding line should be ready for controlled connection.
Operators and test materials should be available during commissioning.
Separate mechanical installation, commissioning, training and performance acceptance.
Confirm access and rigging, floor and drainage, utilities and grounding, bottle/cap/product-water test materials, connected equipment, controls, safety boundaries, operators, tools and the approved installation plan.
Commissioning establishes safe and functional operation at site. Site acceptance applies the agreed test criteria and records results, deviations and completion status. They may occur in sequence but are not the same decision.
The quotation and responsibility matrix should state visas, flights, local transport, lodging, meals, interpreter, local labor, tools, overtime, taxes and delays. Do not infer them from “installation included.”
Site responsibility matrix
The installation plan should say who supplies, prepares, connects, tests and signs off each item. That keeps missing utilities or local labor from becoming an undefined delay after the engineer arrives.
| Workstream | Readiness evidence | Completion evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Access and rigging | Route, lifting plan, equipment and responsible local team | Machine positioned without damage |
| Civil and utilities | Floor, drains, water, air, power, grounding and lighting checked | Measured connections and safe energization |
| Line interfaces | Heights, directions, signals and emergency-stop boundary approved | Connected dry-run/interlock record |
| Commissioning materials | Approved bottles, caps, water, operators and consumables ready | Cold/wet commissioning record |
| Training and acceptance | Agenda, personnel, SAT criteria and open-item process agreed | Training record and signed result/status |
