Separate successful machine FAT from permission to ship. Before release, check the machine identity, remaining deviations, preservation, packing register and transport handover. Packing and delivery commitments must be confirmed for the specific route and contract.
Request package number, contents, documented dimensions and weights, handling information and destination marks. Tie loose parts, change tooling, spares and documents to a package so they can be located on arrival.
Ask the supplier and logistics provider to define protection, moisture control, restraint and storage assumptions for the actual journey. Require appropriately qualified parties to plan lifting and loading from the supplied data; do not infer lifting points from photographs.
Review FAT status, agreed open-item treatment, final drawings, manuals and the packing list. Identify the person authorized to release shipment. A passed operational test does not explain a missing part or unresolved document.
Agree how the buyer records package condition, shortages and damage on receipt and how issues are escalated. Verify unloading access and storage readiness before dispatch. Responsibility for freight, insurance, customs and local costs must be stated in the actual contract.
