Testing and acceptance
A consistent visible fill level and a consistent net content are different acceptance questions. Tell the supplier which result you need, how it will be measured and which bottle is the reference. Do not accept a broad “high filling accuracy” claim without its method and conditions.
A level inspection observes the liquid position in the bottle; a net-content check measures the quantity using an agreed method. Bottle variation can affect how these observations relate. Have the buyer's quality team define the applicable acceptance method and limits.
Identify bottle lot, nominal fill, operating condition, sample timing and instrument. If a gravimetric method is used, agree tare, density and temperature treatment through the responsible quality procedure rather than assuming a direct conversion.
Record measurements at agreed points in the stable run and across representative filling positions or formats. Include any agreed stop/restart observations. A supplier's best single bottle should not substitute for the acceptance record.
Ask the supplier to show the configured target, adjustment method and proposed verification routine. The buyer's approved specification determines the pass/fail rule. This page supplies no universal legal tolerance or guaranteed accuracy.
